10U Team Page

May 5th and 6th - USSSA Diamond Queens York, PA

In only their second real tournament out, the 10U Krunch team brought home a Championship. I am so very proud of this team right now. On Saturday they played a grueling 4 game pool schedule that included 3 back to back to back games. They fought hard and played like a team all day, picking each other up when they needed to and finished the day 3-1 and earning the #2 seed for Sunday. Their only loss was to a very well coached PA Ballhawks team by 1 run. On Sunday the girls again came out playing like a cohesive team defeating the PA Shooting Stars 14-4 in the first game of the day. In the Championship game they played a full 7 innings, in one of the best 10U games I've seen played by both sides and beat the PA Ballhawks 5-3. Lots of individuals made great plays and came up with big hits throughout the weekend...but the girls really put it all together and played as a cohesive group.....weekends like this really make me wish we played every weekend. Again girls....I am super proud of your effort this weekend.

April 15th Krunch Round Robin.

A good learning day. Competition was tougher this weekend compared to the first 2 round robins. The pitching we faced was probably all around the best we've seen and the girls did well getting the bat on the ball making the other teams make mistakes. On the flip side the other teams hit our pitching and we struggled in some basic defensive situations. So we'll work on those in our upcoming practices and strive to get better.

April 1st Krunch Spring Round Robin.

Wow what a day!!!!! The girls outscored their 3 opponents 61-7 for the day!!!! Pitching was awesome, hitting was awesome, and the baserunning was fantastic!!! The extra time put in this winter really paid off!!! Can't wait to hit the dirt again.

FALL ROUND ROBIN A SUCCESS!!!!!!

The Krunch 10U team participated in their own Round Robin Tournament on 10/22 and finished the day with a record of 2-1. There were a lot of jitters the first game, but the girls shook them off and won the last 2 games with a great display of hitting and agressive baserunning. Overall it was a positive day with lots of lessons learned all around. The whole roster contributed in some way throughout the day. Now its time to head indoors and work on getting ready for the spring!!!!!

12U Red Team Page

The 12u Red team had a wonderful weekend in Hollidaysburg, PA. We went 7-0 to win the championship, scoring 69 runs and only allowing 19 in the 7 games. The defense we played throughout the tournament sparked our offense and we played our best softball of this early season. Our pitching in all 7 games really held down some good hitting Teams with Cassidy Bowen leading the way by picking up 3 wins including the championship game where she tossed a complete 7 inning game to secure the win.
Every girl on this team, should have something said about them because they all made big contributions to the weekend.
Great job ladies, now its on to the next one.

The 12U Red Team played their first outdoor tournament of the season on April 14th & 15th in Columbia, MD finishing 1-3 (5th). Started out the day with a 3-1 win with good pitching and defense. In each of our 3 losses, one bad inning did us in, eliminate those 3 innings and the outcome is different. Overall it was a good learning experience. Now it's time to get back to work and eliminate the mistakes that hurt us and find our bats again.

On Saturday March 10th the 12u Red team opened their season with a 2nd place finish at the USSSA Winds of March tournament held in Palmyra PA. Timely hitting from Tierra Kauffman and Nicole Bechtel (both had over the fence home runs)led the way. Good pitching and defense helped fuel a successful weekend.

On Saturday November 5th, the krunch 12u Red team played in a benefit tournament in Shippensburg,PA for a little boy named Baden. Baden has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma which is a malignant cancerous tumor that develops from nerve tissue. Baden was there at 10 AM to throw out the 1st pitch (which was a strike) and take photos with all of the teams. Being apart of this tournament was such a wonderful experience and at the end of the day, they raised close to a thousand dollars for the family. Good luck to Baden and his family on their tough road ahead.

The 12U Red team has been practicing hard since the Sunday after tryout's. We are very excited with talent we have on this team and are looking forward to a promising 2011/2012 season. This team is filled with girls from 9 different school districts.

If you are interested in playing for the Krunch 23U team, please email Tod Whitman (todwhitman@gmail.com) along with a brief resume/history of your RECENT softball career, 16U/18U and college. (we do not care who you played for when you were 10 yrs old) There will be no tryouts. Selection by coaches will be based on your softball qualifications and your ability to play in our tournaments.

Tournament details are still being determined but a tentative schedule has been listed.
